Happy May! I can’t believe how time is zooming so quickly these days. And Happy National Scrapbook Day!! I wanted to share with you the set up of my May planner, as well as incorporate a fun challenge of making a dashboard.
This portion will be photo heavy, as I will share my planner “guts” with you.

I decided to dust off my Yellow A5 Filofax Original. It’s one of my favorites and such a classic. I love the feel of Original Filofaxes and definitely are my favorite line from this brand.
FullSizeRender_2 One of the first things you see is my floral dashboard I made from a gift bag from target. I love to upcycle goodies, plus it was too cute to just sit there. I went on Pinterest to see ways I can stay creative and found this list- we can always use fresh ideas for staying motivated to get creative.

I love carrying stickers, sticky notes, stamps- you know the on the go essentials that we may or may not need, and this zippy carries a great amount of that for me to grab on the go! I also purchased a folder that I hole punched that carries additional note pad sheets, mailing stamps, and a rubber stamp set.

So we finally are to the planning section!! And this is where I will introduce my first ever CHALLENGE for this lovely dashboard I made. FullSizeRender_2
What’s a dashboard? Well it’s a page that’s like a divider, it can be the first thing you open in your planner, or one that you place to your liking. You can choose to laminate it, many people do so they can stick notes, page flags, and those sorts of items on it and it’s a fun page to see other than your planner pages.
So what’s the challenge? I challenge you to grab the following items:
Any cardstock or scrapbook paper and cut it down to size (pocket, personal, or A5)
A stamp
Pattern
A tag

I chose not to laminate mine because with layers, laminating can cause bubbling- and that is just a no no. But over all I like the colors that I chose. I grabbed from the Cocoa Daisy Main Kit on most of the items and had to showcase the adorable Simon, in it. He’s just a handsome gem :)

I wanted to show you how I did my month on two pages. Did you know that there’s free monthly printables for these?? I actually used some of Cocoa Daisy monthly printables as well as mixed in some of my own items to make my month at a glance fun and exciting. I love adding random bits and pieces throughout my layouts I personally think it completes the month and shows a lot of detail. If you’re interested in checking out any of the freebies Cocoa Daisy has to offer- head over that way! http://www.cocoadaisy.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=311
